Here we go…
We now have the new plans and the city permit. We are ready to go. Demolition will begin this week and I’m hoping for a 14 week finish date. I have kitchen plans being drawn now and so many ideas for this house. I will keep the true mid-century modern design but make it feel like 2012 with crisp clean lines and sleek materials and finishes. The wood and brick floors will be restored…they are truly special! Let the work begin!

Ah! I finally remembered to look you up. I live on the other side of 11th and run by this house every day and try to see as much as I can without actually tresspassing/being creepy. It’s been a joy to watch it transform as I love MCM homes and I was so worried when it sold that it was going to ripped down for something suburban and depressing. THANK YOU for rescuing this beauty. What a thrill that I can read all about it on this blog! I would love to see it when it’s finished!
